BRIAN POND has been in the fire service since 2001. He is a career lieutenantparamedictraining officer for Standish (ME) FireEMS and a per-diem firefighterparamedic for Falmouth (ME) Fire-EMS. He is a certified fire instructor 3 and teaches EMS education for United Ambulance Service, is a program coordinator for the Presumpscot Valley Fire Academy, the program director for the Southern Maine Community College (SMCC) Live-In Fire Academy, and an adjunct fire science professor at SMCC.
