If you’re new to the world of online training platforms or are considering moving to a new one, you probably have a ton of questions or concerns around what to expect. Fire Engineering Training prides itself on its customer service, from the very beginning of your journey. From roster uploads to data migrations, we will help you set up your account to meet your department’s training needs.
Here’s what to expect during the onboarding process.
1. Get to Know Your Team
Once you sign your contract, you will be assigned a dedicated Customer Success Manager (CSM) who will not only help you set up your account from a technical perspective, but will also guide you through several train-the-trainer sessions to review the different system features available to you. They’ll work with you during your membership to achieve your training goals and continuously get value from the platform.
2. Customize the Platform to Your Needs
Getting your personnel and their accompanying credentials into our template is the very first step to build your account. Along with this, you will also need to determine how permissions work in your organization. It’s all about trust and accountability. Identifying this hierarchy will determine which users get permissions to perform certain actions – such as assign, create, approve, or reject training – for which personnel and which content.
Your CSM will also grant your account access to Fire Engineering Training courses and videos, as well as set up a structure for your department-specific training.
Some departments might need additional services such as programming single-sign-on (SSO) or large-scale data migration, both of which will be discussed with your CSM and overseen by our product team.
3. Training Sessions
Once your account is created, we offer a series of virtual training sessions to those administrators who will be overseeing the training program and using the platform to ensure easy adoption of its features. During these sessions, we’ll cover how to create assignments, track credential compliance, build custom content, create and run reports and more.
4. Ongoing Support
Fire Engineering Training offers a continuous partnership – one that doesn’t end when onboarding is complete. We offer you self-serve resources, such as our Success Guide and short video tutorials, and your CSM is also available to help via email or phone, as needed.
Starting or moving to a training platform doesn’t have to be overwhelming. Speak with our team to see how we can help you achieve your goals.
